The Finance Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organisation. This part‐time position is ideal for individuals seeking to start their career in the financial services industry. The successful candidate will assist with various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance while contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance team.
Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support to the Finance Team
* Assist with banking processes and accurate data entry
* Support payroll processing when required
* Monitor the finance inbox and respond to routine enquiries
* Prepare and verify supplier forms and documentation
* Assist with accounts payable and ensure invoices progress efficiently
* Create accounts receivable invoices as required
Qualifications and Experience
* A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent qualification
* Tertiary study in finance, business or administration (desirable but not required)
* Interest in finance and financial administration
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Willingness to learn finance systems and software
* Clear, respectful and professional communication skills
* Ability to organise workload and manage competing priorities
* Ability to build positive relationships across diverse groups
* Understanding of WHS, emergency procedures and incident reporting
* Current Working with Children Check and Police Check, or willingness to obtain
