Overview
Mars Recruitment is partnering with a high growth, privately held Perth based business seeking an experienced Finance Manager to support its next phase of growth.
This is a hands on opportunity to corporatise and strengthen the finance function by enhancing financial controls, systems, reporting processes, and governance frameworks.
As the business builds out its finance team, you will initially take ownership of both financial reporting and transactional finance activities.

The Role
Reporting to the leadership team, your responsibilities will include:
* Leading month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with AASB standards
* Preparing statutory financial statements and managing the external audit process
* Managing Australian tax compliance including income tax, GST/BAS, FBT, and payroll tax
* Maintaining general ledger integrity, balance sheet reconciliations, and fixed asset registers
* Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes
* Monitoring cash flow, banking activities, and treasury controls
* Strengthening internal controls, financial policies, and reporting frameworks
* Supporting the annual budget process and delivering variance analysis
The Requirements
* CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent)
* Strong technical accounting knowledge, including AASB and Australian tax compliance
* Proven experience managing month-end, year-end, statutory reporting, and external audits
* Hands-on experience overseeing AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems
* Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable operating in a growing SME environment
