About this role:
Design and Delivery Leadership
This leadership position plays a pivotal role in driving the City's infrastructure projects forward. The successful candidate will be responsible for spearheading the strategic design and delivery of capital works programs, ensuring they are innovative, sustainable, and community-focused.
The role involves providing high-level advice to stakeholders to enhance project design and organisational impact, as well as building and leveraging relationships to advocate for the Hobart community and represent Council with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement strategic direction to support sustainable outcomes aligned with community aspirations.
* Provide informed advice to support integrated decision making across the organisation.
* Align work with strategic plans and deliver on the City Plan and Greater Hobart 2050.
* Apply knowledge of the political, social, legal, and organisational context to all initiatives.
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent, with additional studies in business, urban planning and/or management advantageous.
* Registered building practitioner and/or Chartered Engineer with Engineers Australia capable of signing-off Council design.
* Current Driver Licence.
