Roles and Responsibilities
This role requires an individual with a strong network background with a minimum of 8‐10 years of experience in roles within the Telecommunication industry, at least 3 years in a Business Function Test Lead role with a strong focus on business process analysis, user acceptance testing, and business systems validation related to Order Capture and Order Fulfilment. The position blends Network Engineering, Support and Administration with Integrated Testing responsibilities.
Key Skills and Proficiencies Network – Engineer, Support and Administration
* Prior knowledge or experience with access and design of network architecture to perform quality checks on network design and implementation of complex network solutions.
* Plan, implement, configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure, hardware, software and protocols.
* Involved in sizing and managing network capacity and planning for future changes.
* Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
* Continuously improve network performance and contribute to new network standards.
Testing
* Business Flow Process Expertise – deep understanding of business process management principles, methodologies and related tools; ability to analyze, document and improve complex business workflows.
* UAT Strategy & Execution – develop comprehensive UAT strategies, detailed test plans, manage the UAT lifecycle from planning to sign‐off, and coordinate UAT with end‐users and stakeholders.
* Business‐Driven Test Scenario & Test Case Design – design UAT scenarios and test cases that accurately reflect real‐world business use cases and requirements.
* Stakeholder Management & Communication – communicate effectively with technical and non‐technical stakeholders at all levels.
* Defect Management & Business Impact Analysis – identify, document, track defects and assess their business impact.
* Test Data Management – principles of test data management; define and implement strategies for acquiring, managing and maintaining secure test data.
* Risk Assessment & Mitigation – identify and assess potential business risks associated with system changes.
* Analytical & Problem‐Solving Skills – strong analytical skills and business‐oriented mindset.
Responsibilities Network
* Data services – activation, disconnection and modifications.
* Configurations in the Access Management Systems (AMS).
* Delivery of services across multiple networks.
* Provide remote support to on‐field technicians for troubleshooting physical installations and DSL sync issues.
* Perform quality checks on the Network Design Documents.
* Create user and training documentation.
* Prepare reports and analyse system data.
Integrated Testing
* Business Process Expertise – develop an in‐depth understanding of core business processes, workflows and data flows across departments and systems.
* UAT Strategy and Planning – lead development and execution of comprehensive UAT strategies, plans and timelines.
* Scenario and Test Case Design – design business‐focused UAT scenarios and test cases with traceability to requirements.
* UAT Execution and Coordination – oversee UAT sessions, guide testers and ensure consistency.
* Defect Management – manage identification, documentation, tracking and prioritisation of defects.
* Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication – act as primary point of contact for stakeholders and communicate progress, findings, risks.
* Process Improvement and Best Practices – identify opportunities for continuous improvement and develop best practices.
* Training and Knowledge Sharing – develop and deliver training materials and guidance.
* Data Validation and Integrity – ensure accuracy and consistency of data throughout implementations.
* Post‐Implementation Review – participate in reviews to assess success and lessons learned.
* Tools and Technology Advocacy – evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to enhance efficiency.
* Test Data Management – define and implement strategies for effective test data management.
* Risk Assessment and Mitigation – identify and assess risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
* 8‐10 years of experience in the Telecommunication industry with a strong network background and 3 years as a Business Function test lead focusing on business process analysis, UAT and business systems validation.
* Deep understanding of business process modelling, analysis and optimisation techniques.
* Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive UAT strategies and plans.
* Excellent analytical and problem‐solving skills with keen attention to detail and business‐centric perspective.
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
* Experience with defect tracking and management tools.
* Strong understanding of software development life cycles and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
* Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
* Experience delivering training materials and facilitating UAT sessions.
* Knowledge of test data management principles and best practices.
* Experience with service virtualization concepts.
* Experience with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Remedy.
* Strong team player with strong communication skills.
