Foodservice Sales Representative
Do you know your way around a commercial kitchen and know how to close a sale? Grande Food Service is looking for a sharp, credible sales professional who can walk into a chef's kitchen, understand what they need, and deliver real solutions — not just a product list.
We need someone who earns respect in the kitchen because they've been there — and who can back it up with professional sales skills.
About Grande Food Service
We're a locally owned wholesale food distributor, proudly serving the Great Southern region for over 20 years. With a team of fewer than 20 people, we supply 4,000+ chilled, frozen, and dry goods to hospitality businesses across the region. We're a tight-knit, driven group that genuinely cares about our customers and each other.
Grande continues to grow. We're investing in technology and training, building better communication and support structures, and constantly raising our standard of customer service excellence. There's real work ahead — and real opportunity for the right person.
The Role
You'll own a portfolio of foodservice accounts across the Great Southern, building genuine partnerships with chefs, kitchen managers, and hospitality operators. You'll identify opportunities, provide food solutions, and grow both revenue and profitability — backed by a team that wants you to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage, service and grow a portfolio of foodservice customer accounts
• Drive sales performance and profitability through a structured call cycle
• Consult with chefs and kitchen teams to provide genuine food solutions
• Analyse sales data and customer trends to identify growth opportunities
• Develop and execute account and territory business plans
• Represent Grande at industry events, trade shows and information nights
• Report on sales performance, market activity and opportunities
What You'll Bring
We need one of two things — and ideally both:
• A strong background in commercial kitchens (chef, kitchen management, or foodservice operations) — you understand how a kitchen runs, what chefs care about, and how to speak their language
• Proven success in B2B or field sales, with the ability to build relationships, manage a territory, and drive results
You'll also need:
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong computer skills including Excel and CRM/database systems
• Analytical thinking — ability to read data and spot opportunities
• A genuine customer-first mindset with commercial nous
• Self-discipline to manage your own time, territory and priorities
What We Offer
• $75,000 – $85,000 salary + incentives
• Attractive quarterly and annual incentive structure
• Company vehicle, mobile phone, and laptop/tablet
• Staff discounts on in-store purchases
• Gym membership
• Ongoing training, mentoring and professional development
• A genuinely welcoming, down-to-earth team that backs you in and helps you grow
