We’re seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer /Lead Enterprise Architect to guide and govern large-scale cloud and infrastructure solutions for a high-profile federal government account.This is a senior-level opportunity to provide technical leadership and architectural oversight within a highly regulated environment. You’ll play a key role in aligning enterprise architecture with security standards, policy requirements, and long-term business objectives.Key Responsibilities:Act as a trusted advisor to government stakeholders, guiding architectural direction and technical strategy.Maintain and oversee enterprise and solution architectures with a strong focus on identity, security, and compliance.Provide governance across solution design, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and regulatory frameworks.Lead architecture initiatives that support digital transformation, innovation, and long-term service delivery improvements.Identify and mitigate technical risks across critical platforms and systems.Develop and implement architecture roadmaps that align with evolving policy, operational demands, and emerging technologies.Drive improvements in identity security and support secure integration of cloud services.Engage regularly with senior stakeholders, translating technical strategy into business outcomes.Identify opportunities for business growth across the customer baseWhat You Bring:10+ years' experience in senior IT architecture roles with a strong track record in enterprise and solution architecture.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, especially within government or highly regulated industries.Ability to engage and influence c-suite decision makersDeep expertise in cloud-based architectures, including governance, design, and implementation in complex environments.Strong understanding of identity management, cybersecurity, and data protection within the context of Australian government standards.Experience delivering high-performance, secure web services and applications.Proven leadership across multi-disciplinary technical teams, including in outsourced or federated models.Familiarity with key architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g. TOGAF, SABSA).Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risk and recommend secure, scalable technical solutions.Current NV1 security clearance is essential.
