About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at Groote Eylandt. The successful candidate will lead on-site teams, ensure work is completed safely and to specification, and maintain strong communication with project managers and stakeholders.
This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who thrives in remote environments and has a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate on-site personnel and subcontractors
* Maintain strict adherence to WHS requirements and site procedures
* Plan and schedule daily work activities to meet project timelines
* Conduct toolbox talks, site inspections, and risk assessments
* Oversee materials, plant, and equipment management
* Ensure quality standards are met and documented
* Liaise with project management, clients, and community stakeholders
* Support and mentor Indigenous employees (if relevant)
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Site Supervisor in construction, civil, mining, or related fields
* Strong understanding of WHS legislation and remote-site safety protocols
* Ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce
* Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
* Competent in reporting, scheduling, and site documentation
* Current driver's licence; relevant tickets or qualifications preferred (White Card, Supervisory Cert, etc.)
* Experience working in remote or regional environments highly regarded
