As we move towards a more sustainable future and decarbonise our iron ore mining operations, we're seeking passionate, driven individuals to contribute to our Real Zero mission and help shape the future.We are currently seeking expressions of interest from Environment Advisors and Senior Environment Advisors to join our Health, Safety & Environment team on a FIFO basis.

Work Location: Opportunities are FIFO from Perth, Busselton, Karratha, Port Hedland, Fitzroy Crossing or Kununurra to our Pilbara WA mine sitesRosters available: Our rosters vary depending on the role and locationPlease note this is a centralised advertisement for positions across all operational sites.

Internal candidates are encouraged to visit our internal careers page for current opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee field based environmental monitoring activities, including surface water, groundwater, dust and soil samplingOversee analysis of monitoring data against trigger level and long-term trends for reportingUndertake internal compliance verifications to ensure environmental approval requirements are implementedAudit and manage environmental risk using Fortescue's risk management systemsLead incident investigations and the identification and implementation of corrective actionsPrepare annual statutory environmental compliance reportsQualifications and ExperienceTertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or equivalent5+ years experience in a relevant industry roleProven knowledge of WA and Federal environmental legislation and guidelinesStrong ability to work collaboratively with multiple levels of leadership across the organisationProficient with MS Office and general IT systemsExcellent organisational, communication, and prioritisation skillsPositive, proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement and learningOur CommitmentFortescue celebrates individual strengths and team members are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
