Medical Support Specialist
This role involves a range of administrative tasks aimed at supporting the smooth operation of our medical clinic. Key responsibilities include:
* Welcoming patients and providing them with excellent customer service
* Coordinating appointments, managing the clinic's schedule and ensuring efficient communication with staff members
* Answering phone calls, directing them to relevant team members and responding to queries in a timely manner
* Preparing documents for doctors as requested and creating medical reports
* Processing patient payments, including Medicare and private billing arrangements
* Providing general administrative support and contributing to the overall success of the clinic team
To succeed in this position, you will possess:
* A mature approach when interacting with patients, demonstrating empathy and understanding
* Relevant experience in a reception or administration role within General Practice is essential
* Familiarity with PracSoft software is highly desirable
* Certificate III or above in a medical field is preferred
* The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines
* Excellent communication skills and a strong focus on patient service are crucial
Fluent English is an asset but not a requirement. Strong administrative skills within the medical sector are necessary for success in this role.
