This role is based in Orange and can be part time (minimum three days) or full time. You choose.

About the Role
You'll be the steady, clear‑thinking hub of bookkeeping, workflow coordination, and BAS oversight. You'll support other bookkeepers, guide clients toward clarity, and keep processes running smoothly. Your detail orientation will be seen as a strength, not "being difficult".
What You'll Actually Be Doing
* Onboarding new clients in a structured, calm and clear way
* Handling day‑to‑day bookkeeping and financial reporting for your client portfolio
* Coordinating workflows and job allocations in our practice management software
* Reviewing BAS, checking GST coding and ensuring compliance is spot on
* Communicating proactively with clients to avoid issues before they escalated
* Supporting and mentoring the bookkeeping team
* Updating and refining processes and systems for better efficiency
* Stepping in to support when others are at capacity or unavailable
You Might Be the Right Fit If
* You've been doing bookkeeping long enough to know the difference between "fine" and "correct"
* Compliance matters to you because getting it right matters to your clients
* You understand that people are juggling a lot, so you keep communication kind and clear
* You can see systems and processes as moving parts that can always be improved

* You've been the go‑to person before, but now you're ready to actually hold that leadership seat
What You'll Bring
* Certificate IV in Accounting/Bookkeeping or higher
* Current BAS Agent registration
* Strong experience working across multiple clients and platforms (Xero, Dext, practice management software, etc.)
* Ability to lead, support, and communicate with empathy and calm
* A dry sense of humour also works beautifully here
