Murchison Medical Clinic, in Murchison VIC, are looking for a General Practitioner to join their medical practice. This is a full time position.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive patient consultations and medical examinations.
* Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
* Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with Australian clinical guidelines.
* Order and interpret diagnostic tests including pathology, imaging, and laboratory investigations.
* Perform routine medical procedures and minor surgical procedures where appropriate.
* Provide preventative healthcare, immunisations, and health education to patients.
* Manage chronic disease care plans and ongoing patient monitoring.
* Refer patients to medical specialists, hospitals, and allied health providers where necessary.
* Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date patient medical records.
* Provide emergency medical care and urgent treatment where required.
* Promote preventative medicine and healthy lifestyle initiatives.
* Participate in public health initiatives and community health education programs.
* Ensure compliance with AHPRA requirements, RACGP standards, Medicare regulations, and applicable healthcare legislation.
* Liaise effectively with nurses, allied health professionals, specialists, hospitals, and administrative staff.
* Participate in clinical audits, peer reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience
* Essential Requirements:
* Medical degree recognised in Australia.
* Current registration with AHPRA.
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or equivalent qualification, or eligibility to obtain same.
* Demonstrated experience in general practice or primary healthcare settings.
* Solid clinical diagnostic and patient management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Remuneration
* $135,000.00 per annum as per prevailing market rate or Level 3 Supervision 65% of billings. Once obtain RACGP Fellowship 70% of billings.
* Pay: $135,000.00 per year
