Pyramid Residential Care Centre is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Rostering & Payroll Officer to join our team in a part-time capacity. Located in the heart of Gordonvale, our 83 bed facility is set on 7 lush acres of beautifully maintained land.

This is a key operational role supporting the smooth coordination of staff rosters and payroll processes within a 24/7 aged care environment. You will work closely with leaders across the organisation to ensure our workforce is scheduled effectively, compliantly and in a way that supports the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.

About the Role
This position plays an important role in balancing staffing needs, employee entitlements and cost control. You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining rosters, managing unplanned absences, and supporting accurate payroll processing in line with Awards and legislation.

You will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and can build positive working relationships across all levels of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for coordinating fortnightly rosters and ensuring appropriate skill mix across all shifts, managing reactive rostering to cover leave and absences, and applying Award conditions to minimise overtime and ensure compliance.

In addition, you will support payroll processing by ensuring timesheet accuracy, interpreting allowances and penalties, assisting with payroll queries, and maintaining accurate employee records.

You will also monitor leave trends, identify inefficiencies, and work closely with HR and Finance to support continuous improvement across rostering and payroll functions.

About You
You will bring experience in rostering and/or payroll within a complex or 24/7 environment, with a strong understanding of Award interpretation and workforce planning.

You are highly organised, solutions-focused and confident working with systems and data, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Experience within aged care or healthcare is highly regarded, along with experience using Inerva or similar systems.
