Position: Assistant Principal
This position is for two years –
St Joseph's School is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, collaborative and dedicated Assistant Principal with the necessary personal and professional skills to be able to build staff capacity and be an effective and authentic leader in all aspects of school life.
Additionally, the successful applicant will be an exemplary educator, with a thorough understanding of student development and pastoral care.
Liaising with the community, organising and promoting events and developing the capacity of others are important aspects of the role.
The Salary is negotiable.
Selection Criteria
* Be an active member of the Catholic Church.
* Demonstrate high levels of competency across the domains of Catholic Identity, Community, Education and Stewardship.
* Support the faith journey of our students, staff and community.
* Possess the interpersonal and organisational skills to work collaboratively in developing the capacity in others.
* Utilise data to improve student outcomes and influence and facilitate school improvement initiatives, aligned to the Quality Catholic Education vision.
* Work closely with the community, which includes our parish, parents, carers and other groups, to achieve positive outcomes.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, families, our parish and the wider school community.
Qualifications Required
* Have completed Accreditation to Lead in a Catholic School.
* An active member of the Catholic Church (Parish Priest's reference required).
* Current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
* Have a minimum of seven years educational experience.
