The Assistant Bar Manager will be required to work a minimum of fifteen hours to a maximum of twenty hours per week. The hours worked will generally fall between 2:00pm until 7:00pm Monday to Sunday each week, but may vary dependent on staffing needs. The Assistant Bar Manager will receive an hourly rate of $29.88 consistent with the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020. Leave, superannuation and overtime is also payable consistent with the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020.
* Requires 1-2 years of bar or hospitality management experience.
* Must be available for full 7‑day availability to cover shifts between 2:00pm and 7:00pm Monday to Sunday.
* Must hold valid Australian work rights including valid work visa.
* Performs all bar duties as required.
* Assists in the hiring, training and supervising of bar staff, while providing guidance, setting performance expectations, etc.
* Assists in overseeing inventory control, including monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, minimizing waste, controlling costs, and ensuring a well‑stocked bar at all times.
* Helps to ensure exceptional customer experiences by fostering a welcoming and professional atmosphere in the bar.
* Helps to ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the bar area.
* Helps to ensure compliance with all relevant legal and licensing requirements.
* Helps to streamline bar operations by implementing efficient processes and procedures, optimizing workflow and managing shifts and schedules.
