The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Risk Analyst to support the evolution and delivery of the second line Risk and Assurance functions of La Trobe Financial. Your key focus will be on embedding and operationalising the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, and supporting the delivery of key risk initiatives.
Working closely with the Manager, Operational Risk and the Head of Risk & Compliance, you will engage collaboratively with employees across all divisions of La Trobe Financial. You will utilise your excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving and analytical skills, along with a curious and positive mindset, to help improve and embed the maturation of our risk, control and compliance frameworks.
The Key Responsibilities
Supporting the development and embedding of policies, frameworks, systems and processes to enable continuous improvement in La Trobe Financial's Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance.
Partnering with business divisions to promote risk awareness and risk management best practices as well as drive the risk culture across the organisation.
Management of La Trobe Financial's Enterprise Risk Management system (ERM), including recording and managing risk related matters.
Supporting half yearly and annual reviews of divisional risk profiles, including ensuring the risks and controls register is updated in the ERM system.
Providing support and training to business divisions around the use of the ERM system, to help embed the use of the system in the day-to-day management and reporting of risks.
Providing support to the ongoing build out and implementation of a Control Assurance Framework.
Providing support to the strengthening of our Group third-party risk management framework, ensuring we have appropriate on-boarding, off-boarding and risk assessments completed and captured in the ERM system.
Providing support to the build out our Model Risk Framework ensuring we have processes and tools to identify, assess, manage and validate our model inventory.
Lead deep dives, investigation and remediation of any operational risk incidents reported to the risk team, in collaboration the relevant business divisions stakeholders
Lead the quarterly Key Risk Indicator (KRI) reporting, which includes working closely with Risk Champions within business divisions.
About you
Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Risk Management or a related discipline.
3-5 years of relevant experience in the financial services sector, with strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, practices and disciplines, as well as exposure to an Enterprise Risk Management System.
Strong data collation, attention to detail, and analytical skills and experience.
Strong organisational, time management and decision-making skills.
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including relationship building and influencing skills.
Collaborative, team player, with an open and curious mindset.
