We are looking for a proactive and skilled Maintenance Electrician to perform preventative and reactive maintenance tasks within the Bendigo Hospital Precinct. This hands-on role is essential to ensuring hospital electrical systems operate safely, reliably, and in line with Australian Standards. You will work closely with the Leading Hand Electrician, other trades, contractors, and hospital staff to deliver high-quality maintenance services.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include
Performing preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
Troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults in line with hospital guidelines
Assisting with minor works, modifications, and lifecycle upgrades
Coordinating and liaising with contractors for specialised works
Interpreting electrical plans and operating manuals to carry out tasks effectively
Working with Building Maintenance Systems (BMS), lighting control systems, and asset management tools
Maintaining tools and equipment in a clean, secure condition
Supporting other trades and assisting with multi-skilled tasks when required
About You
Qualified and licensed A Grade Electrician
Previous experience in building or hospital maintenance preferred
Skilled in fault finding, troubleshooting, and interpreting electrical plans
Knowledge of Australian Standards, OH&S policies, and relevant legislation
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Excellent customer service, attention to detail, and time management skills
Proactive, self-motivated, and a strong team player
Willing to multi-skill and assist with other maintenance duties as needed
