Lead Veterinarian Job Overview

The ideal candidate for this leadership role will be a highly skilled and experienced veterinarian who possesses excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to motivate and mentor other team members.


Key Responsibilities

* Provide primary clinical care for both medical and surgical cases.
* Oversee training and development of the veterinary team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality patient care.
* Serve as a line manager for veterinarians, offering guidance and support to help them achieve their full potential.
* Contribute to the performance appraisal process for veterinarians, providing constructive feedback and coaching opportunities.
* Participate in the training of nursing and animal care staff, ensuring they are equipped to provide excellent patient care.
* Play a key role in the development and implementation of our practice's marketing strategy, promoting the clinic's services and reputation within the community.
* Be an integral member of the hospital's leadership team, contributing to strategic decision-making and goal-setting.
* Address client concerns and issues promptly, ensuring that financial and clinical matters are resolved effectively.

About You

* Experience: 5 years of experience in general practice within small animals.
* Qualifications: Bachelor or Doctor of Veterinary Science, registered with the NSW Veterinary Practitioners Board as a Veterinary Surgeon.
* Personal qualities: Deliver exceptional patient care while working collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
