The centres offer childcare, Three and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten and Pre-Prep. About the role
The Senior Quality Improvement Advisor is responsible for developing and reviewing policy, frameworks and program design to support the delivery of high-quality pedagogy and practice across Early Learning Victoria centres. With a quality improvement focus, the role will work closely with centre leaders and staff to build their capacity, to actively engage in the ongoing cycle of continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
* Inform the ELV's approach to pedagogy, practice, and safety - incorporating contemporary evidence-informed programs, National Quality Framework, Child Safe Standards and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF).
* Support the overlay and the interpretation of the Victorian Early Years and Development Framework (VEYLDF) into operational and policy decisions.
* Inform the ongoing establishment, monitoring and reporting of ELV's Child Safety Framework
* Design and support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives across ELV centres
Experience required will include
* Demonstrated experience leading quality improvement initiatives within an ECEC context
* Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and inclusion practices and the ability to translate this for a range of educators and audiences
* Strong knowledge of the ECEC sector and the National Quality Framework
* Effective communication and people management experience, with a skill for fostering a high-trust and collaborative culture.
* Experience in stakeholder management and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
* Experience managing policy projects, from short-term to long-term initiatives.
Specific skills/qualifications required
* Relevant early childhood qualification, degree or postgraduate qualification highly desirable
* Current Police and Working with Children's Checks
