Key Selection Criteria The successful applicant will be a highly effective teacher who demonstrates : a commitment to the Catholic Church and a strong sense of faith capacity to enliven the values of truth, empathy, excellence, curiosity and collaboration in students with regard to the Mission and Vision of Sydney Catholic Schools qualification to teach English ability to demonstrate differentiated pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning a willingness to undertake continued professional development and faith formation a willingness to assist and lead students in extracurricular activities such as performance and exhibitions ability to support the College's scholastic initiatives and promote its innovation in light of the Strategic Plan a willingness to undertake leadership mentoring and training from peers, and the ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with colleagues a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation.
Desirable experience in teaching Stage 6 English Advanced and Standard willingness to contribute to the implementation of the new Stage 4 and 5 syllabus, including writing programs and resources willingness to undertake SCS gifted and talented training through the Newman program.
