The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive Project Accountant to provide comprehensive financial support to the Ginninderry Project located in our Strathnairn office. Reporting to the Project Finance Director, you will play a key role in management reporting, financial reporting and cashflow forecasting.
In addition to delivering accurate and timely reporting and forecasting, you will provide broader accounting and administrative support to ensure effective financial management across the project. This role is ideal for a motivated finance professional who thrives in a project-based environment and enjoys working collaboratively with finance, operational and sales teams.
About You
You are a capable finance professional with a strong track record in preparing, analysing, and presenting management accounts that support informed decision making. You bring proven expertise in preparing financial statements and undertaking cash flow forecasting, with the ability to interpret results and clearly communicate insights to stakeholders.
Highly organised and adaptable, you effectively manage competing priorities, meet multiple deadlines, and consistently deliver high quality outputs. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills enable you to translate complex financial information into clear, meaningful insights while building and maintaining strong, collaborative stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Management Reporting – Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and budget reforecasts.
Financial Reporting – Assist with annual financial reporting and audits, while supporting monthly BAS, budgeting, and cashflow modelling activities.
Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable - Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including processing invoices and payments.
Cash Management - Manage bank reconciliations and support funding activities, including funding/equity drawdowns requests.
Project Administration - Calculate Development Management Fees, maintain key registers, and provide general project administration for the project.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
* Tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting, or related discipline
* 3+ years' experience in a similar role
* CPA or CA (or working towards) highly regarded
Desirable
* High proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams)
* Experience working with a mid to large sized accounting system
* Experience working for a large property development or infrastructure project is desirable

Salary range between $110,000 and $120,000 (inclusive of superannuation)
