The Opportunity
We’re seeking a seasoned Commercial Manager to join the leadership team and manage the financial, contractual, and commercial performance across multiple concurrent projects. You’ll work strategically to protect margins, mitigate risk, and support project delivery with commercial clarity and confidence.
The Role
Reporting into the Managing Director, Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Overseeing contract negotiations, procurement strategies, and subcontractor terms
- Developing and managing budgets, forecasting, and cost reporting across project portfolios
- Leading variations management, claims resolution, and contract risk mitigation
- Providing commercial insight and advice to project leadership and the executive team
- Maintaining compliance with industry and statutory quality, safety, and financial standards
- Building strong internal and external relationships with clients, subcontractors, and consultants
About You
- Tertiary-qualified in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline
- 5+ years of commercial leadership experience within a commercial construction business
- An analytical thinker with proven ability to manage P&L;, contract negotiation, risk, and commercial strategies
- Confident communicator and negotiator across project and client relationships
- Highly organised and commercially astute, with a drive for margin protection and delivery excellence
