Supporting Young People with Special Needs
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a new special education free school in Salisbury.
The Role:
* This role involves providing exceptional support and care to students aged 4-16 years old, who require assistance with various SEN needs such as SEMH, Autism, and other behavioural difficulties.
* You will be working closely with classroom teachers and senior leaders to create a nurturing environment that promotes learning, safety, and well-being.
Fully-equipped facilities ensure pupils have access to everything they need to thrive academically and personally.
Requirements:
* A patient, resilient, innovative, and caring individual with a compassionate approach to supporting young people.
* Prior experience in SEN(D) or a related field is highly desirable.
* Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills are essential for collaboration with teachers, therapists, and support staff.
* Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and safely are key attributes.
* Candidates should be comfortable working across different age groups and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
