About the Role

Maternal and Child Health (MCH) nurse to join our team as a Clinical Educator and Quality Improvement Nurse. This dynamic role is responsible for leading clinical education initiatives, supporting professional development, and driving quality improvement across our MCH services.

Salary: $123,733 - $125,898 + qualification and other allowances, pro rata (plus super)

Employment type: Temporary Full Time (2 years) or Temporary Part Time (4 days per week)

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education programs for MCH nurses.
- Provide mentorship and support to new and existing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Lead quality improvement projects to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
- Monitor clinical practice standards and support compliance with relevant guidelines and legislation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote best practice in MCH.
- Contribute to policy development, audit processes, and service planning.

About You

You are a dedicated and knowledgeable MCH Nurse with a strong background in clinical education and quality improvement. You bring excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care to families.

Essential Criteria

- Registered Nurse and Midwife with current AHPRA registration.
- Accredited Maternal and Child Health Nurse qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical education and/or quality improvement.
- Solid understanding of MCH frameworks, policies, and evidence-based practice.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organisational skills.

Desirable Criteria

- Postgraduate qualifications in education, public health, or quality improvement.
- Experience in project management or service development.

You may be required to undertake practical testing, work preference profiling / psychometric testing, functional capacity assessment (physical) or aptitude testing. The successful candidate will be asked to produce a clear Working with Children Check and consent to a national police check (and where relevant an international criminal history check), subject to spent conviction laws.
