We're representing the Australia and New Zealand offices of a global medical device manufacturer. Headquartered in the US, the organisation manufactures technically advanced products that support critical medical needs within our community. With a portfolio of well-regarded brands, the business has grown four-fold in the last 10 years.
In A/NZ it represents around a $50 million business. The sector itself is growing by almost 4% per year and our client's aim is to grow YOY a point beyond that. Product is shipped to Australia and distributed to medical suppliers, hospitals, and direct to patients, but through a unique distribution model with an industry body supporting patients.
Role Overview
A local restructure has seen a new role created – that of FP&A Manager for A/NZ, essentially, the Commercial Analyst & Manager for the region. You will report to the Regional Finance Director, based in the UK and play a crucial role in the local leadership team that consists of General Manager, Human Resources, Head of Sales and Director Marketing.
Financial Accounting and statements are prepared by the accountants in the 'global' finance structure. Your role will be to work with them and present the results but critically provide proactive Finance Business Partner support to the management team. As the trusted commercial partner, your reporting and analysis will drive business decisions and inform strategy. It will include the Annual Operating Plan, projections, forecasting, budgeting, and monthly performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide informed opinions and recommendations to drive the business with the right portfolio choices, including product launches and go to market strategies as well as pricing and commercial decisions.
* Develop critical KPI's to measure strategic objectives, particularly around demand and supply alignment.
* Aided by a strong Business Analyst, you will have tremendous scope to develop a reporting suite encompassing commercial performance reporting, including P&L, variance commentary and product sales as well as strategic advice.
Requirements
CA/CPA qualified and ideally from a manufacturing or product background, with a strong understanding of the supply chain, you'll also have a knowledge of analytical systems such as Power BI. However, it's your leadership skills that will truly see you secure this gig. You're a Business Partner with an Executive 'presence', driving strategy and challenging where appropriate.
We hope that you'll embrace the company's culture and have the Customer at the heart of everything that you do. Your leadership approach will help foster a strong team culture where people leverage off each other, embrace the corporate values, and collaborate with a proactive partnering and continuous improvement mindset.
What We Offer
Whilst only managing a small team, this role is all about leadership and driving the business. As I say, you will be a central part of the senior local leadership. The organisation encourages professional growth and there are certainly career progression opportunities in the future, both locally and abroad. To that end, an attractive salary package will be negotiated to attract high-quality talent.
We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
