Sales Manager – Dealership Operations (Pakenham)
Are you a hands-on, results-driven sales leader with experience in the Caravan & RV, Automotive or Boating dealership industry? JB Group is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our Pakenham dealership sales function, driving performance, culture, and exceptional customer outcomes — while working closely with Service, Parts & Accessories/Retail, and Customer Experience teams.
This is a leadership role for someone who can coach a sales team, lift conversion and margin, and maintain strong dealership sales rhythms in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the day-to-day sales operations of the dealership, ensuring targets and performance standards are achieved.
* Drive sales growth through strong lead management, enquiry handling, pipeline discipline, and closing performance.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve revenue, margin, conversion, finance/insurance outcomes (where applicable), and customer satisfaction.
* Coach, mentor and develop the sales team through training, performance management, and consistent standards.
* Maintain effective sales rhythms including sales meetings, reporting, forecasting, and KPI management.
* Work collaboratively with Service and Parts & Accessories/Retail teams to ensure a seamless customer journey and repeat business.
* Support stock management: ordering, ageing stock strategies, pricing discipline, merchandising presentation, and display standards.
* Identify local growth opportunities to increase market share, strengthen community presence, and build customer loyalty.
* Ensure compliance with dealership policies, procedures, and WHS obligations.
Skills & Experience
* Proven leadership experience in a dealership sales role (e.g., Sales Manager, Senior Sales Consultant, Sales Team Leader) within Caravan/RV, Automotive or Boating.
* Demonstrated success achieving sales targets and key KPIs (conversion, margin, pipeline, enquiry response, CSI).
* Strong understanding of dealership sales principles and structured sales processes.
* Confident communicator with strong negotiation and closing capability.
* Calm, commercially minded problem-solver who leads by example.
* Strong customer-first mindset with a hands-on coaching style.
