MIGAS is proud to be partnering with Anglo American, one of Australia's largest suppliers of quality steelmaking coal with a focus on safety and sustainability.Undertaking this school-based apprenticeship at Aquila Coal Mine, 32kmsouth of Middlemount in central Queensland, will give you the opportunity to start yourUEE30820Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.Aquila Mine has been developed as one Australia's most technologically advanced underground mines, leveraging Anglo American's advancements in underground automation technology, remote operations and data analytics.You will learn the ins and outs of and develop the skills to install, service, maintain, repair, isolate, test and commission a wide variety of coal mining fixed infrastructure.This could include high voltage works, communications infrastructure, and back up electrical systems.You will commence on a one day per week roster starting at 5:30am and finishing at 5:30pm while also attending school.
The apprenticeship will beginin January/February 2026.
