Senior Speech Pathologist Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Speech Pathologist to deliver culturally safe, high-quality speech pathology services for Aboriginal children and young people (aged 0–18 years) and their families across Perth.
About the Job
This is an incredible opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team committed to improving developmental outcomes and empowering families through holistic, culturally responsive care. As the Senior Speech Pathologist, you will play a vital role in case management & delivering specialised assessment, diagnosis and intervention services to children experiencing speech and communication difficulties, with a focus on:
* Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD)
* Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
* Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
You will be working on a team with Paediatricians, GPs, Paeds and Clinical Case Officers, Aboriginal Disability Liaison Officers, Aboriginal Health Workers and other Allied Health to ensure that services are effective, culturally appropriate, and family-centred.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual who has:
* A Degree in Speech Pathology from a recognised institution
* Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
* Minimum 5 years' experience in paediatric speech pathology, especially with FASD, ASD and ADHD
* Experience supervising and mentoring staff
* Strong clinical expertise in assessment and management of complex paediatric communication disorders
* Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal children, families, and communities
* High-level cultural competence and knowledge of Aboriginal Health contexts
* Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills whilst also being able to work autonomously
