Larder & Vin is a small, design-led wine bar and providore in the heart of Richmond – known for its seasonal produce, European-inspired small plates, and relaxed, beautifully curated atmosphere.
We're looking for an experienced and organised
Kitchen Manager / Cook
to take charge of our day-to-day food operations.
This is not a heavy cheffing role – it's ideal for someone who loves humble seasonal food, detail, and efficiency, without the late nights and chaos of a full kitchen.
Your role includes :
Overseeing prep, ordering and stock control
Managing weekend food service (Friday and Saturday lunch & evenings + Sunday lunch)
Plating and presenting our small cold-bar menu and rustic "one dish" suppers
Maintaining a clean, efficient, and well-organised workspace
Liaising with suppliers and ensuring margins and quality stay on point
Supporting a small, positive and drama-free team culture
We're looking for someone who :
Has strong organisational and service skills
Works quickly, cleanly, and calmly under pressure
Takes pride in presentation and consistency
Has prior experience in a small bar, café, or kitchen environment
Prefers structure and reliability over creative experimentation
Values teamwork, communication, and a healthy workplace culture
Hours & perks : Approx.
* hours per week, including Monday for ordering / stocktake, and 2 weekend evenings (finished by 8pm).
Award pay (Hospitality Level 4–5 depending on experience).
No split shifts, no late nights – just good food, wine, and community.
