We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the design, maintenance, and evolution of our global network infrastructure.The RoleThis position is responsible for designing and implementing network solutions, troubleshooting complex issues, and proactively enhancing network capabilities to support future growth.
You'll collaborate with internal teams and external vendors and contribute to strategic planning and operational excellence.
The role is open to candidates located in any city in Australia.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain Swoop's global network infrastructureCollaborate across teams to enhance network performance and reliabilityDevelop technical specifications and manage project deliverablesTroubleshoot complex network issues and escalate with vendors as neededEstablish design requirements for hardwareManage procurement of network resourcesMonitor and upgrade the network to support growthDocument network architecture and contribute to continuous improvementProvide technical support to customersAbout YouExperience working in a technical operations role in implementing, maintaining networks and systems in a telecommunications company and/or networks service provider implementing networks and systems.Proficiency with technologies such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, L3VPN, QoS, and radio PtP/PtMP systems.Extensive experience with equipment from Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, HPE, Mikrotik, and A10.Project management experience in successfully managing complex projects in a technology setting.Strong scripting ability.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Additional RequirementsWillingness to travel intrastate and interstate on an ad-hoc basisCurrent driver's license and access to a vehicle preferredOur ValuesAt Swoop, our values are more than words, they shape how we work, collaborate, and grow.
