AUSVEG is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Trade Show & Partnership Executive to join our team on a 12-month contract. Reporting to the National Manager – Events & Partnerships, this role plays a key part in delivering Australia's premier horticulture event, Hort Connections, while managing a growing portfolio of industry partnerships.

About Hort Connections

Hort Connections is Australia's leading horticulture trade show and conference, delivered annually by AUSVEG in partnership with key industry bodies. The event brings together growers, suppliers, researchers, and industry leaders from across the country, providing a platform for innovation, education, networking, and commercial engagement. As an annual flagship event, Hort Connections plays a vital role in supporting the growth and sustainability of the Australian horticulture industry.

This is a hands-on role combining event delivery, exhibitor management, and sales, where you will oversee the trade show from planning through to onsite execution and post-event reporting. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless experience for exhibitors, partners, and attendees.

Key Responsibilities Include:

* End-to-end management of the Hort Connections Trade Show, including booth sales, exhibitor onboarding, booth allocation, floorplan coordination, and external stakeholder management.
* Onsite delivery of the event, including bump in, bump out, exhibitor logistics and stakeholder support.
* Managing exhibitor applications, contracts, invoicing, and payments in line with agreed budgets and deadlines.
* Maintaining accurate records across systems including EventsAir, Xero,, and CRM platforms.
* Driving exhibitor, advertising, and partnership revenue through proactive sales, relationship management, and new business development.
* Supporting the development of new activations, partnerships, and engagement opportunities to enhance the event experience.
* Preparing reports, forecasts, and financial updates for the National Manager – Events & Partnerships.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

* Proven experience using EventsAir (essential).
* Demonstrated trade show and event management experience, including onsite operations.
* Strong sales and commercial experience, ideally in exhibitions or partnerships.
* Experience managing invoicing, contracts, and budgets.
* Capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
* A team-oriented approach with a positive, can-do mindset.
* Excellent organisational, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
