About The Role

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Bus Driver and Grounds and Maintenance Officer to join the Carinity Education Shalom Primary school community. In this role, you will transport students safely and reliably to and from school to various excursions, camps, and other activities around the year. This position is during the school term, and you will undertake minor maintenance, and grounds work during school vacation.
Your Day-to-day Will Involve
Safely transporting students, managing behaviour respectfully, and maintaining professional communication with families and staff
Following all road rules, safety procedures, and completing required bus and safety checks
Carrying out grounds and maintenance tasks, including gardening, cleaning, and basic repairs, to keep the school well-presented
About You
You are reliable, practical, and committed to keeping students safe and the school running smoothly. You communicate well, work collaboratively, and take pride in maintaining clean, safe grounds and providing dependable transport for the school community.
Previous experience driving a bus.
Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety standards and requirements relevant to grounds work
Knowledge of the QLD road rules
Hold a current Blue Card and LR Licence
Driver Authorisation to provide passenger services
