Systems engineering is a multidisciplinary approach focused on developing high-quality products that meet customer needs.
The role involves designing, creating, and optimizing systems by identifying and quantifying system requirements, developing alternate design concepts, and performing design trade studies.
This process proceeds from concept to production to operation, ensuring the delivery of robust and reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to product development and technical analysis for power electronic and power systems control of renewable generation, battery energy storage systems, and large industrial drives.
* Develop models in PSS/E, PSLF, PowerFactory, PSCAD, and other modeling tools to simulate and analyze complex systems.
* Tune controllers to achieve desired performance requirements established in grid codes, ensuring seamless integration with electrical grids.
* Gain technical understanding of electrical characteristics of GE Hybrids power electronics products and their integration to electrical grids, providing expert advice on system design and optimization.
Requirements:
* Hold a Master's or PhD degree in electrical or electric power engineering, or a related field of study, with a strong academic record.
* Bachelor's in electrical or electric power engineering with 5 years' employment experience in a related position will be considered, along with relevant skills and qualifications.
* Minimum 5 years of professional experience in an engineering field, with expertise in MATLAB, PSSE, PSLF, Python, C, and C# programming languages, as well as knowledge of modeling tools and simulation software.
