This leading agri-business has been a cornerstone of the Australian agriculture industry for over five decades. Their Hobart manufacturing site is a high impact operation that integrates production, blending, and distribution services to support a vast network of Australia wide dealers and growers.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will be the primary interface for complex technical operations and a dedicated team of engineering and maintenance professionals.
You will be the person who takes complex engineering challenges and turns them into actionable plans to continue the growth and success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Planning: Implement engineering strategies and projects that align with overarching business objectives.
* Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary interface between engineering teams, corporate departments (such as Finance and IT) and external organisations.
* Operational Oversight: Utilise systems like SAP and Microsoft Office to monitor production quality, maintenance, budgetary and HR requirements.
* Performance Management: Set clear goals, manage team performance and ensure maximum engineering performance.
About You
You will be a decisive leader who operates effectively under pressure and possesses a strong commercial acumen.
To be considered for this role you will;
* Hold a Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering.
* Have a minimum of 5 year's experience in a similar management role within the manufacturing industry.
* Have the ability to interpret and apply engineering specifications to operational requirements.
* Have demonstrated experience in astute decision making, problem solving and leading teams.
