Job Description

The Leading Worker Arboriculture is a pivotal role within the Arboriculture Team. As a key member, you will be responsible for overseeing on-site operations and ensuring the efficient delivery of arboriculture maintenance for the Council's vegetation and other parks-related tasks.

Working closely with the Team Leader Arboriculture, you will actively participate in daily operational activities, manage resources to deliver Arboriculture programs and other related works to time, cost, and quality, provide support to the team leader, and ensure adherence to WH&S requirements.


Responsibilities

* Oversee on-site operations and ensure efficient delivery of arboriculture maintenance
* Manage resources (people, materials, and plant) to deliver Arboriculture programs and other related works to time, cost, and quality
* Provide support to the Team Leader Arboriculture
* On-site supervision and coordination of the team
* Induction/training of new staff on-site
* Advice and guidance for on-site enquiries by the public


Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

- A Certificate III in Arboriculture

- A Class MR Drivers Licence or willingness to obtain

- Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White card) or willingness to obtain

- Temporary Traffic Management Ticket Supervisory (TTM) or willingness to obtain

- Licence to Perform High Risk Work class: Elevated Work Platform (EWP)

- Safe Work at Heights ticket

- Provide First Aid Certificate

- Working safely near live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker certificate
