What's the role?
In this Sydney based, fulltime role; you'll join the Finance Transformation team as the Lead – Process, Controls & Risk Management, taking a key role in the SRDE Migration Program. This program is critical to modernising a core platform that supports credit risk, capital management, and regulatory reporting, ensuring Westpac meets its regulatory obligations and delivers sustainable outcomes.
In this role, you'll lead the Process, Controls & Risk Management stream, define and manage scope, and make sure outcomes align with strategic objectives. You'll oversee governance, risk, and issue management across complex projects, engage and influence stakeholders, and drive business readiness for migration cutovers. You'll also coach and mentor a team of up to six, building capability and supporting growth.
You'll bring strong experience in project leadership within large, complex environments, ideally in financial services. Your ability to manage governance, risk, and stakeholder engagement will be essential, along with a collaborative approach and a focus on delivering sustainable solutions. What do I need?
* You'll have proven experience managing medium-to-large projects (up to $20M, 18-month duration).
* You'll bring a strong background in financial services and large-scale organisational environments.
* You'll have expertise in project governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
* You'll hold relevant tertiary qualifications and ideally project management certifications (PMP or AIPM).
* You'll be confident navigating complex dependencies and delivering sustainable solutions.
