The facility offers 8 rooms with 24-hour on-site nursing, ancillary services and accommodation for anyone with life-limiting illnesses at the end stage of life. Your Role as Personal Care Worker
You'll deliver person-centred, holistic and support to guests in care and their families by:
* Follow relevant care plans and under the supervision of the Clinical team
* Participate in activities with guests as required
* Support guests with all aspects of daily living, including but not restricted to, personal care, associated light domestic duties and social/community participation
* Act promptly should any changes to a guest's condition be observed, seeking advice from the relevant clinical staff
What We're Looking For
Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or other relevant qualification or experience in supporting people with illness/disability.
NDIS Worker Screening Clearance held before commencing.
Willingness to work within the philosophy and policies of Hopewell Hospice.
Enthusiasm and highly effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
A Valuable Addition, Yet Not a Must-Have
* Experience working with families within a health setting and a commitment to the provision of family centred care.
* Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy).
* Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
* Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel for work.
