Provide customer-focused and professional advice related to the financial operations of the Department to all internal and external stakeholders, particularly leading responses to client inquiries regarding the Department's financial operations. We support flexible working arrangements to help manage work and life needs.Hours per fortnight:Up to 73.5 hours with flexible options available.Duties:Supervise and coordinate the functions of the Financial Operations team to provide timely and effective finance services and advice.Represent the Department’s interests when responding to client inquiries and identify potential non-compliance with financial legislation.Mentor and evaluate staff in policies and procedures, focusing on internal controls, and provide training and assessments.Maintain and develop financial operations policies and procedures.Promote a strong team culture within the financial reporting and operations team.Engage with debtors and creditors to ensure timely processing of transactions.Reconcile debtor and creditor accounts, process receipts, and manage debt follow-up.Prepare reports and correspondence for staff, debtors, and creditors.Maintain registers, databases, and prepare routine financial reports.Assist with compliance processing, including BAS, FBT, and other reporting requirements.Perform additional duties within the capacity, qualifications, and experience expected at this classification level.Completion or progression towards a tertiary qualification in Accounting or Management is required.Download the Statement of Duties and related documents:Electronic submission is preferred.
