Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Electrician to perform maintenance, installation, and repair work on various electrical systems and equipment in a mining environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical systems are operating safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety regulations and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections on electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, motors, and control panels.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults in mining equipment.
* Install and commission new electrical systems and equipment underground.
* Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Australian electrical standards and mine site regulations.
* Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including maintenance logs and inspection reports.
* Collaborate with other trades and site personnel to ensure the safe and efficient operation of underground mining equipment.
* Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety protocols.
Requirements:
* Trade qualification as an Electrician.
* Current NSW Electrical License.
* High level of competency in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems.
* Strong understanding of mining safety regulations and standards.
* Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Valid driver's license.
