The Carer Assessment and Placement Manager oversees the placement process for vulnerable children and young people, ensuring safe and stable homes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead carer recruitment, assessment, authorisation, training, and matching to meet legislative standards.
* Review documentation, manage referrals, and make placement decisions prioritising safety and wellbeing.
* Provide leadership and supervision to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.
* Manage day-to-day operations, including tasking, documenting, and referring placements within guidelines and timeframes.
* Liaise with stakeholders to promote safety and permanency.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or related field with ongoing professional development commitment.
* National Driver Licence.
* Registered Assessor or willingness to obtain.
* Criminal History Check and Working with Children clearance.
* Diploma of Leadership and Management (Desirable).
