They are well represented nationally and in response to successful business growth and the need for succession planning, they have created the new position of General Manager Customer and Commercial, based at their Lara, Victoria site. **The role**
The General Manager will initially have the responsibility for the day-to-day management of the sales and marketing team. The intention is for the successful applicant to move into the role of Managing Director over an agreed period. The role interacts closely with the production, procurement, and dispatch teams, though is not responsible for their day-to-day management. The key drivers for the role are to continue growing market share and simultaneously ensuring that the overall profitability of the business is positive for the global corporation.
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
- Appropriate tertiary qualification(s) in Chemistry, Science or Chemical Engineering preferred and Bachelor or Master of Business as a desirable second qualification
- Comprehensive knowledge of flocculants.
- Prior experience selling into the Australian wastewater, municipal or mining & mineral processing, sectors, with an ability to take a pragmatic view analyzing the client needs in order to promote and sell appropriate products.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
