Shutdown Supervisor – Steel Cattle Yard Installation
Somerset Region, QLD | 2 Week Project | Start 30 March
We are seeking an experienced Supervisor / Leading Hand to oversee a 2-week shutdown project installing steel cattle yards in the Somerset region, commencing 30 March and running over the Easter period.
This is a hands-on supervisory role leading a small crew through the installation and completion of a large-scale livestock yard system.
The Role
You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the installation of prefabricated steel cattle yard structures, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Key duties include:
* Overseeing structural steel assembly and installation
* Ensuring work is completed to engineering drawings and specifications
* Managing daily pre-starts, safety requirements and site coordination
* Working alongside the crew to keep the project moving
* Ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained throughout the installation
Requirements
* Previous supervisor or leading hand experience
* Background in structural steel, rural infrastructure, construction or shutdown projects
* Ability to read and interpret drawings and installation plans
* Strong organisational and leadership skills
* White Card
* Current Driver's Licence
* Strong commitment to site safety
