About the role
The Media and Publicity Officer supports the Manager Communications and Media by developing, implementing, and monitoring media, social media, and communications plans and activities across the WA Museum's three regional locations and the WA Museum Boola Bardip in Perth.

Responsibilities
* Assist the Manager, Communications and Media, with developing and implementing WA Museum communications, media, and publicity plans.
* Develop, deliver and monitor media and publicity activity – including social media – for exhibitions, public programs, events and museum research projects, in collaboration with relevant Museum departments.
* Successfully follow processes for implementing and maintaining successful media and publicity campaigns.
* Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and the media.
* Other duties as required with respect to the scope of the position.
Eligibility to Apply
* To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid Work visa (for fixed‐term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, Permanent Resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments) at the time of application.
* A current (within six (6) months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment, as per the Department's Police Record Screening Policy.
