Your role Reporting to a highly experienced Product Manager, this role will oversee the daily technical sales support needs of the Flextool business. You will develop and implement systems, processes, and programs to optimise and scale Flextool's technical capabilities, ensuring they meet current and future business requirements. You will develop and deliver technical training materials and programs both online and in person to enhance the technical knowledge of our dealers, contractors, rental companies, internal sales, and customer service staff. Leveraging your product knowledge, you will assist with technical support publications and maintain a detailed product specifications database.This role is ideally suited for candidates with experience in equipment hire companies for construction, industrial, and DIY tools, hands-on tradies, or retail sales support staff with technical product knowledge. We also welcome applications from enthusiastic apprentices eager to develop their skills in construction equipment. Key Responsibilities Manage troubleshooting, diagnostic, and technical support through direct contact with dealers, contractors, rental companies, internal sales, and customer service staff.Monitor product performance, maintain records, and coordinate improvements for technical issues to support proactive resolution and product improvement.Establish and maintain relationships with key technical personnel across brands and suppliers domestically and internationally.Support product development through technical insights, safety and design standards adherence, prototype testing, and analysis. Skills & Experience Basic knowledge of diesel and petrol engines, electrical, hydraulic systems, and mechanical trades is desirable.Ability to interpret technical publications such as schematics and product specifications.Strong time management, analytical, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to operate powered construction equipment safely.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technology literacy.Valid Australian driver's license.Willingness to travel within Australia and internationally.
