Most importantly, you'll be joining at the beginning of our Brisbane growth journey, giving you the chance to become a key part of building the local team, culture, and long‐term success of the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and automation drawings
* Performing preventative maintenance and reliability improvement works
* Collaborating closely with engineers, electricians, and project delivery teams
* Maintaining high‐quality technical documentation and reporting
* Travelling to client sites across Brisbane and surrounding regions as required

What We're Looking For

We're looking for technicians who genuinely take pride in their craft.

The kind of people who can walk into a plant, identify issues others miss, stay calm under pressure, and solve problems properly, not just temporarily.

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

* QLD Electrical Licence (essential)
* Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial automation or electrical maintenance
* Strong PLC fault‐finding and troubleshooting capability
* Experience with Siemens, Allen‐Bradley, or Schneider systems highly regarded
* Excellent diagnostic and analytical skills
* Ability to interpret electrical and automation schematics confidently
* A proactive, solutions‐focused attitude
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Motivation to help build and grow a high‐performing Brisbane team

We're particularly interested in people who are technically sharp, adaptable, and motivated by challenging industrial environments.

Why Join Spectrum Automation?

This is more than a job, it's an opportunity to help shape the future of a growing business in Queensland.

You'll join a company known for technical excellence, strong leadership, and delivering quality outcomes for major industrial clients across Australia.
