About the Role
This is a hands‐on Electronics Engineer position focused on hardware and embedded systems design within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
You will be involved across the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing, certification, and production, working on high‐performance systems used in defence applications.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, simulate, prototype, and test electronic and electromechanical systems
* Develop and maintain engineering and system documentation
* Design hardware solutions aligned with project and engineering requirements
* Perform functional, performance, and compliance testing (including EMC)
* Contribute to high‐speed digital design and embedded systems development
* Create PCB schematics and layouts using Altium
* Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and project teams
* Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
* Support manufacturing processes, including design for manufacturability
* Assist with certification and compliance to defence standards (e.g. MIL-STD-461)
About You
Essential Skills & Experience
* 3–4 years' experience in electronics engineering
* Strong background in hardware design and embedded systems
* Proficiency with Altium (schematic capture & PCB layout)
* Experience with EMC compliance and high‐speed digital design
* Understanding of design for manufacturability and production processes
* Strong documentation and reporting skills
Desirable
* Experience in defence or military systems
* Understanding of defence project lifecycles
* Exposure to manufacturing environments
* Familiarity with M1 ERP systems
Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent

* Must be an Australian Citizen (ITAR compliance)
