About the role
Operating within Financial Operations, the Accounts Payable Officer assists the Accounts Payable Team Leader, Finance team and IT Procurement Manager to achieve efficient processing of accounts and payments for external creditors, staff and students as well as support the procurement of Information Technology (IT) equipment for the ACU campuses and Vice Chancellery. The Accounts Payable Officer provides advice and information on accounts payable and IT procurement processes, procedures and policies including FBT, GST, purchasing, travel expenses and taxis, internal money transfers and overseas cash advances to university internal stakeholders and staff.
Key responsibilities
* Process accounts and payments for external creditors, staff and students.
* Support procurement of IT equipment for ACU campuses and Vice Chancellery.
* Advise on accounts payable and IT procurement processes, procedures and policies including FBT, GST, purchasing, travel expenses, taxis, internal money transfers and overseas cash advances.
Qualifications
* Experience in accounts payable and procurement functions.
* Knowledge of financial regulations such as FBT and GST.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Must hold Australian work rights to apply for the position (permanent roles require permanent work rights).
Compensation & benefits
* Salary component: $85,739–$92,815 pro rata per annum (HEW 5).
* Total remuneration: $101,464–$109,838 pro rata per annum including employer superannuation and annual leave loading.
* 17% employer superannuation contributions.
* Annual leave loading of 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata.
