The Out of Home Care Case Manager role requires a high level of professionalism, empathy and understanding to work effectively with children, young people in care and their carers.
Key responsibilities include working collaboratively within a small team to deliver a supportive service, managing casework and providing therapeutic support to individuals.
Requirements
* A deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, as well as awareness of current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.
* Tertiary qualification in Social Work or other relevant field, or equivalent experience.
* Significant experience in OOHC case work practice, including knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
* Ability to work therapeutically with children and young people who have experienced trauma.
* Experience supporting Aboriginal children, families and/or communities.
