Guidance Officer
We are seeking expressions of interest for a Guidance Officer to join our regional team in Central Queensland.
This role involves providing support and guidance to students, teachers, and parents on various issues including educational, behavioral, career development, mental health, and family matters. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and establish effective working relationships with parents, school personnel, and external support agencies.
* Advocate, provide counseling, psychoeducational assessment, and individual student support recommendations and advice concerning educational, behavioral, career development, mental health, and family issues.
* Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to facilitate effective working relationships and partnerships with parents, school personnel, and external support agencies.
Main Responsibilities
* Conduct activities such as student observation and psychoeducational assessment to determine the nature of student learning difficulties, disability, developmental levels, or psychological and emotional status.
* Make recommendations for educational adjustments and interventions based on the assessment findings.
