About the Role:
Cessnock Multipurpose Children's Centre (CMCC) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced full-time Centre Manager for our Long Day Care facility in Cessnock, New South Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the centre, ensuring that all staff provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years old. As a Centre Manager, you will have excellent leadership skills, be able to manage resources effectively and maintain positive relationships with families. We are seeking a Centre Manager that is committed to leading their team, to continually learn and develop, while also ensuring the highest quality of care for the children, families and community. The Centre is a long day care service, with meals provided catering for children from 6 weeks - 6 years. This role is an on-floor management role with time off the floor to complete administrative tasks and attend manager meetings.

Skills:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong leadership skills
* Experience in managing staff and maintaining positive relationships with families
* Knowledge of current early childhood education practices
* Excellent organisational skills
* Knowledge of NSW Early Childhood laws and regulations
* Ability to uphold policies and procedures effectively
* Familiarity with industry best practices

Responsibilities:
* Manage day-to-day operations of the centre.
* Manage a team of staff members, including training, scheduling, and performance management
* Ensure clear communication with students, parents, staff members, and other stakeholders
* Maintain organisation within the Centre by implementing efficient systems and processes
* Uphold compliance with all relevant NSW laws and regulations
* Enforce Centre policies and procedures consistently
* Providing a play-based Early Years Program delivery guided by the EYLF and NQS.
* Provide a stimulating environment that promotes high-quality outcomes for children
* Record keeping via online platforms
* Coordinate team tasks and class pedagogy
* Observe and document children's learning
Qualifications:
* A Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching preferable with minimum ACECQA approved Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education is essential.
* Previous experience as a Centre Manager or Assistant Director in Long Day Care settings is preferred
* Current First Aid Certificate including Anaphylaxis Management & Emergency Asthma Management Certification, required before commencing employment (HLTAID004 or HLTAID012)
* CHCPRT025 Identify and report children and young people at risk preferred
* Valid Working With Children Check required before commencing employment.
