Find out more about working with us.About The RoleAs the Principal Privacy Officer, you will provide clear, practical, and strategic advice on the department\'s privacy management and ensure compliance with the Information Privacy Act 2009, the Queensland Privacy Principles, and other relevant statutory obligations.
You will stay up to date with State and Federal privacy legislation to research, analyse, and manage privacy matters, including assessments, breaches, complaints, and advisory requests, while also developing and delivering privacy-related training.You Will Receive12.75% superannuationAccess to salary packaging benefits, including novated leasing and bus travelProfessional development and learning opportunitiesAccess to flexible working arrangementsYour ResponsibilitiesProvide practical and definitive policy, strategic and operational advice in relation to the department\'s privacy management and compliance with the Information Privacy Act 2009 and associated Queensland Privacy Principles and its statutory obligations under relevant privacy frameworks.Maintain currency of State and Federal privacy legislation to research, analyse, investigate, manage, and respond to privacy matters and deliver privacy training.Identify and make recommendations to address strategic and systemic privacy issues across the department.Lead multiple simultaneous privacy matters, handle competing priorities, deliver quality work outcomes and ensure legislative needs are achieved within scheduled scope and timeframe.Mentor and share knowledge with other privacy officers and contribute to the development of a corporate culture which is client focused and values innovation and continuous improvement.How to ApplyAttach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant work history).
